Located in Eastern Washington with its headquarters in the Lower Yakima Valley in Grandview, Wyckoff Farms is a third-generation family business that’s been growing hops for nearly 50 years, as well as grapes on the Wahluke Slope, blueberries, grapes, apples and hops in the Yakima Valley, and grapes and irrigated row crops on the Horse Heaven Hills. Kirby Redman, who was raised farming fruit in Wapato, Washington, and studied at Washington State University, runs Wyckoff’s Hop Division. In Grit & Grain Episode 58, Redman discusses the hop growth cycle and harvest process, Wyckoff’s sustainability and organic practices, flash freezing hops, and Yakima tamales while laughing at our dumb jokes.
