Episode 12: Matt Coughlin, Part 1

September 23, 2022

Grit & Grain Podcast sat down with Matty Coughlin of Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery this week. Coughlin was known as Matty when he filled the Tacoma concert venues with music in the mid-2000s when he wasn’t bartending or homebrewing with Grit & Grain co-host Sean Jackson. A chance meeting with Double Mountain founder Matt Swihart landed Cough, as he is now known in the beer industry, a job at the Hood River brewery where he has worked his way to lead brewer. As always, this episode is filled with laughter and f***-up stories, as well as tales of the Tacoma music scene 15 years ago, Double Mountain philosophy, and Sean hugging Cough every 10 minutes.
