What craft beer and comedy have in common is that artists drive them both. Michael Dempster is such an artist. Many years ago, Dempster left Gig Harbor to write comedy for various mediums on the East Coast. Those who attended the “Roast of Michael Dempster” at Brouwer’s Café in Seattle last month know Dempster perfected his art. Those who drink his Mirage Beer farmhouse and hazy ales know he has perfected this art, too, honing his skills via Buoy Beer, Wingman Brewers, and other breweries as he worked his way toward opening his first permanent brewery in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood soon. Tune-in to Grit & Grain Episode 38 to hear Dempster’s art.
