Try as we might, it would simply be impossible to capture the joy of the last year in a single one-hour episode. Regardless, we gave it our best shot. This week, Ron, Sean, Matt, and Doug sat down for a secret recording session to share a few of our favorite beers and opine over our podcast highlights for our first year. From Jeff Lee’s famous melted cheese story to Chris Miller of The Red Hot wreaking havoc on an entire town during his rodeo days. From the stories of the first truly professional beer buyer in Tacoma, Donna at Tacoma Boys Markets, to splitting special bottles with ground-breaking industry royalty. And, of course, learning a ton from hop scientists, maltsters, and accomplished homebrewers.
This year has been a whirlwind of unexpected laughs, touching stories from brewers, and a deeper connection with the history of beer Tacoma, which is exactly what we wanted but still so much more than we expected. Thank you to everyone who has participated and listened in! Stay tuned in year two for more shenanigans, more barleywine, and more sweet chatter.
