Ben Chase is known for many glorious things in the Northwest beer world. For instance, when he pulls up to a brewery to grab beer for his Rainier Growlers, he’s often picking up beer for his beer bar competitors. When fellow beer industry folks stop by his craft beer bar and bottle shop in South Hill Puyallup, he’s been known to hand the guests rare bottles from his personal cellar. He’s also known for entertaining his regulars with a plethora of knowledge and opinions as he pours beers. Last, Chase is the humblest person placing everyone else on a pedestal while deflecting praise. “The beer world doesn’t deserve Ben,” Grit & Grain co-host Matt McLaren often says.
