Russ Heaton opened Doyle’s Public House in Tacoma’s Stadium District at 3 p.m. Monday, April 17 2006. Heaton’s passions continued with the addition of the largest whiskey collection in the state in conjunction to his carefully curated beer tap list and scratch kitchen. But Heaton’s passion for community is what drives him most as seen with his board positions, charity donations, the largest soccer community gatherings and his Seattle Sounders Party Bus, his famous Guinness Club and monthly Jameson-fueled contests, and one of the biggest St. Patrick’s celebrations in the state. Tune-in to Grit & Grain Episode 30 to learn how Heaton built his true community gathering spot.
