Aubrey “Abe” Burt and Pat Jansen met working at Three Magnets Brewing where Pat was head brewer and Abe held multiple positions over the years eventually becoming the Three Mags’ sales executive. Together, they’re opening Ilk Beer in the old Fish Brewing complex in downtown Olympia. The Grit & Grain Podcast sat down with the duo to discuss their new brewery, their time at Three Magnets, Abe’s cocktail experiences in Seattle, and Pat’s journey from farmer, mail carrier, head brewer at Three Mags, co-owner of Matchless Brewing and his recent career as a food pop-up specialist launching Splat Hot Sauce and CarbonPop Burgers to co-owner of Ilk Beer. As usual, expect lots of laughs and crazy F-up stories.

Tacoma Post Office.” We read and drink everything we receive, and we’ll try to respond as quickly as we can. If not online, then on air.
