Episode 137: Pink Boots are Made for Walkin’

March 28, 2025

We’re so excited about this one! Ali Himmel-Smith and Jen Nicosia, the respective chair and co-chair for the Seattle chapter of the Pink Boots Society, join us this week. Pink Boots is a pillar institution in the beer world, fostering education and career advancement for women and non-binary members of the fermented beverages industry. Ali and Jen fill us in on their work organizing events, classes, and trips for Washington members of the society. And, of course, we had to sample some Four Generals beers, where Ali leads sales and distribution, and pop a special Georgetown beer, where Jen is a long-time brewer.

Tune in for all the shenanigans, a few great f*ck up stories, and some great info on how women and non-binary industry friends can get involved in Pink Boots.
